I’m an engineer by education and marketer by heart, which combined with 10 years of experience in a global corporation gives a pretty good understanding why marketing is a hot potato in B2B companies. Due to long sales cycles and complex deals, the contribution of sales to the deal is much more significant than marketing. This being said, the impact of marketing is not zero.
