The Irish Association of Sterile Services Managers was established in 1989. After the AGM of 2011 it changed its name to the Irish Decontamination Institute to reflect the ever-growing diversity of the decontamination process. Its aim is to keep you as a member abreast of all developments in decontamination. It fulfils this aim by spearheading a revolution in decontamination through the organizing of conferences, study days, training and education sessions and the dissemination of the latest developments in decontamination to its members. It is a member of the World Forum for Hospital Sterile Supply (www.wfhss.com) and advises on its Education Working Group. The IDI is firmly regarded as being one of the leading organisations in this field globally.
