Roger is the Industry Lead for Oracle Consulting’s High Tech Practice. He has spent over 20 years helping manufacturing companies find efficiencies in their manufacturing processes and supply chains. Roger has supported manufacturers both large and small through leadership roles in consulting, product management, and customer success. He specializes in understanding the technology opportunities, risks, and change management requirements to drive success on a global scale. Roger holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. When not walking the manufacturing floor, Roger spends time with his wife and four children in Portland, OR.

Karthik Srivathsa is a vice president of healthcare engineering at Rauland-Borg Corporation, leading the development and validation of life safety grade nurse call system platforms at the edge, and enterprise applications for the acute care and long-term care markets.

He is the technical co-chair of the NEMA BSB-2 industry group and leading the modernization of the nurse call standard. Additionally, he is a STP member on the UL 2900-2-1 (healthcare cybersecurity) ANSI/UL 1069 (acute care nurse call) and ANSI/UL 2560 (assisted /independent living emergency call systems) standards committees. He has contributed to the AAMI/UL 2800-1 (medical device interoperability) standard and is a member of the NEMA AI council driving the design of smart buildings.

He holds a master’s in electrical engineering from LSU, master’s in engineering management and a master’s in business administration from the Kellogg School of management at Northwestern University.

He is passionate about using his experience in IoMT, cybersecurity, medical device interoperability and AI at the edge to prevent patient falls, prevent staff alert fatigue, enable  telehealth and remote monitoring of elders, and shift the continuum of care closer to the home or at home.

Dr. Ben Amaba holds a PhD. degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, a M.S. degree in Engineering and Operations, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Amaba is a registered and licensed Professional Engineer in several states with International Registry; certified in Production, Operations, and Inventory Management by APICS ®; LEED® Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design); and certified in Corporate Strategy by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is responsible for industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, engineering, and supply chain solutions. Dr. Amaba is the Global Chief Technology Officer for the Industrial Sector – IBM Cloud and Cognitive. Dr. Amaba’s focus and interest is in artificial intelligence, data analytics, software engineering, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), 5G, and cloud technology. Dr. Amaba holds a copyright for Process Activity Flow Framework®, the framework for requirements, design, architecture, simulation, and application development techniques. Dr. Amaba is prominently featured in “Giving 2.0,” by Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen with Stanford Business School, which details contributions to bolster and promote STEM education and careers, and is an Alexis de Tocqueville Society/United Way Member, which recognizes local philanthropic leaders.
