Aniruddha Chakravarti is a leading consultant urological surgeon based in Birmingham. Specialising in robotic and laparoscopic kidney surgery, and prostate surgery procedures such as HoLEP, UroLift, and Green Light laser surgery, Mr Chakravarti also provides treatment and diagnosis for a wide range of urological conditions. Andy Goffe is a Lead Nurse Consultant in Urology at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester Dorset. He has worked in Urology for 17 years, previously worked in Day surgery and surgical ward. Andy has also worked in mental health for 5 years after leaving the Army before undertaking his Nurse training. His current role sees him running an expanding team of Urology nurses looking after benign and cancer patients. Andy’s speciality is in flexible cystoscopy and bladder cancer. He runs a Nurse led cystoscopy service for approximately 2500 patients per year. This includes diagnostic and surveillance cystoscopies. Professor Faiz Mumtaz is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital. He had his postgraduate urological training in London at Royal Free Hospital and University college London. He has over the last 13 years developed a specialist interest in laparoscopic and robotic renal surgery. His expertise also includes surgery for renal tumours involving the cava/atrium as well as cytoreductive surgery to remove large kidney tumours prior to or following targeted immunotherapy for kidney cancer. He has also established robotic renal surgery at the Royal Free Hospital and now routinely performs robotic removal of kidney tumours and reconstruction of obstructed kidneys. He also performs laparoscopic surgery for kidney and ureteric stones. Mr Jonathan Noël is a double robotic surgical fellowship trained urologist who attended medical school in the Caribbean. On returning to the UK to specialize in Urology, he developed expertise in prostatectomy techniques such as the Royal Marsden’s anterior retzius spare and Lister Hospital’s NeuroSAFE: neurovascular structure adjacent frozen section examination (the latter adopted from the Martini Klinik, Germany). Mr Noël went further to advance his robotic prostate surgery in Florida, USA. In his current role, he is responsible for product portfolios including 3D visualisation, laparoscopy and advanced energy across the whole of the UK for the Aesculap division.
Nithya graduated in Medicine at the Queen’s University of Belfast in 2003. She has an Honours degree in Biochemistry and a Masters in Clinical Research from Newcastle University. Nithya is a Consultant in the Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead. She believes in affording patients the time to have their concerns heard and to be able to provide holistic care. Nithya is a Council member of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, and her interests lie in innovation and service development, to improve patient outcomes and experiences. She specialises in minimal access surgery, complex vulva disorders, and colposcopy.
Tony is a clinical lead for Endometriosis, outpatient hysteroscopic sterilisation and the Regional Preceptor for advanced Hysteroscopic Surgery as well as the Head of Department. Appointed as a substantive full-time consultant in gynaecological surgery in 2011, Tony is a core member of the cancer and colposcopy teams, deputy lead for gynaecological cancer for Newcastle Hospitals and lead for endometriosis. His interests are establishing outpatient sterilisation - a minor procedure that is very well tolerated by women attending the clinic. Tony is a principal Investigator for portfolio research studies such as Quality of Life research into treatments for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding. He is a course director for advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery attracting delegates from all over the world. He is aldo a member of: Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG); British and European Societies of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE/ESGE); Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (SERGS); British Society of Colposcopy (BSCCP); Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health (DFFP).
Munwar is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and RCOG accredited subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery. He has worked and trained some of the well-recognised teaching/tertiary care hospitals in Befalst, London and Bristol. His areas of expertise are management of general infertility, assisted reproductive treatments (IVF, ICSI), reproductive endocrinology (i.e. PCOS, POF), recurrent miscarriages, management of male infertility, laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, conventional and laparoscopic tubal surgery to restore female fertility, management of fibroids uterus and other benign gynecological conditions. Munwar is a East Of England Deanery preceptor and RCOG supervisor for advance training in management of subfertility and reproductive endocrinology and British Fertility Society trainer for pelvic ultrasound.
David Rawaf is a surgeon, researcher, technologist and policy developer. As well as studying and working in both UK and US, David is involved with Imperial College WHO Collaborating Centre (for Public Health Education & Training), as well as medical writing, research and hosting conferences. In addition, David is the Clinical Excellence Lead for Inovus Medical, the world-leaders in high-fidelity medical and surgical simulation. Alongside director roles for The International Organisation for Reconstruction & QCapital Ventures, David is heavily involved in medical device & software consulting, including validation, accreditation, and approval through bodies such as the FDA.
Dr. George’s experience spans across surgeries for severe endometriosis, performed via the keyhole approach to cutting edge procedures using laparoscopic surgery to prevent recurrent pregnancy loss. He routinely performs the laparoscopic approach to remove fibroids, ovary cysts and hysterectomies to help rapid recovery. In addition, he has advanced skills and certificates in Gynecology scanning, management of infertile couple trying to conceive and Aesthetic Gynecology. Most of his experience was acquired through a busy tertiary referral UK maternity hospital. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. George had a UK higher training and a master’s degree in laparoscopic and hysteroscopy surgery from Surrey University UK. He is currently establishing and running the UK regional center of excellence for the management of severe endometriosis over last 5 years. He accepted and managed referred patients with complex endometriosis from the north of UK and now from all seven Emirates in the UAE.
