We interviewed Jyoti about her thoughts on the growing significance of the Point of care Testing amidst a global pandemic. The role of POCT in dealing with Infectious diseases, her presentation at the Conference and her take on the conference program.

Question: What is the significance of Point of Care Testing in the time of global pandemic?

Jyoti Chandok:

Point-of-Care tests are particularly important in areas where access to hospital laboratory testing may be a challenge. The use of POC tests eases the burden placed on laboratories as the number cases and testing continues to increase.

Question: How POCT is helping in diagnosis of Infectious Diseases and how it is significant in current situation.

Jyoti Chandok:

The use of POC testing, particularly for COVID is important since the required quarantining is challenging to implement and enforce. The shorter response time is hopefully assisting in diagnosing positive cases more rapidly and allowing patients with negative results to resume their normal activities sooner.

Question: What are your views on the agenda and how helpful it is to the targeted audience.

Jyoti Chandok:

The topics are good.
