EVENT OVERVIEW

Personalized Driver Experience in the Age of AI

The intersection of automotive electrification, software-defined architectures, driver experience, and artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities for OEMs, Tier suppliers, network operators, and technology equipment manufacturers. With digital cockpits now available in 65% of new vehicles and growing, OEMs and partners can fundamentally transform the driving experience with AI.

Join MarketsandMarkets' automotive and technology leaders for an interactive roundtable discussion on the opportunities and potential challenges of the combination of Digital Cockpits and Artificial Intelligence the night before CES commence!

Key Discussion Areas

  1. Driving Customization
    • Leveraging insights gleaned from driving behavior and locations, as well as the immense capabilities of software defined architectures, vehicles can now adapt the user interface for each individual driver to reflect their use-case and driving style.  Commuters driving direct routes can be provided different interfaces than those drivers shopping at multiple stores in around a given city, with recommended routing and charging.

  2. Premium Services
    • OEMs can unlock ongoing revenue streams from vehicles by offering performance, range and infotainment upgrades.  These upgrades can be temporary (e.g. "I want sports car handling and acceleration for the weekend!") or permanent (e.g. "I want to unlock more range to reduce charging anxiety for my new work commute distance"), creating both improved customer satisfaction as well as OEM and partner revenue generation post-vehicle-sale.

  3. Context Aware Information
    • Cloud-assisted and cloud-informed driving are another potential revenue source for OEMs and third-party information providers. As AIs learn driver preferences, from dining and entertainment to charging and navigation, recommendations for destinations (ad supported or subsidized) can be provided at the appropriate time and location.  This location-based service will be topical and timely to the driver, versus pay-for-placement advertisements that may arrive at the wrong time or location.

  4. Personalized Infotainment
    • Beyond music recommendations, infotainment system layouts can adapt given the destination and any adverse traffic, weather, or other factors, and combine information and entertainment in the form of Generative AI-created summaries of destination cities and venues, or, alternatively, news, schedule and meeting summaries during a morning commute.
